Santa, I can explain

Timmy and Ellie met Santa yesterday. Timmy begged me to let him bring his counting cookie jar with him, so I let him. When we parked, he wanted to bring the cookies. I told him no and he flipped his shit, so I finally said he could bring two cookies in his pocket.
Upon walking into Santa's workshop, he dug those cookies out of his pocket and proudly offered them to Santa Claus. Of course! Cookies for Santa! I didnt realize he had picked up on the fact that we leave cookies for Santa. (thankfully), he hasn't gotten to the stage where he asks for specific toys, so that was pretty much all our visit with Santa involved. But with Timmy so excited to be meeting Santa and Ellie contentedly snuggling on the plump velvet cushiony surface of Santa's suit, I could not have been feeling more festive.
If Timmy doesn't get excited about Christmas, he's in for a disappointing childhood since that's also his birthday, so I want it to be the best day ever in his world. I think we are off to a good start.

I have never seen such a successful Santa picture! All of ours look more like this:
