Chubby and Disabled

That is kind of how I feel. Within the last two days, I have started to look chubby and I can no longer suck it in to make it go away. I'm not sure if anyone else notices it, but I am constantly aware. It must be nice to be pregnant in the winter so you can just wear bigger clothes and not worry about everyone noticing the unsightly belly fat. I'm still wearing my normal clothes (work clothes are way too expensive to buy new fat-work-clothes) but certain things feel uncomfortable by the end of the day. I still have 6 weeks of work to go, so I may have to break down and buy some ugly maternity-ish thing that will pass for business casual.

I thought the alcohol was the only thing that I would have to avoid this summer. Wrong. I forgot about amusement parks. Yesterday was the Universal Studios ditch-day with the Finance department. Even in a very wholesome firm activity, I had to sit out most of it. I don't really know how bad some of those rides are for pregnant women, but I don't want to chance it. So I was lame and sat out all but one attraction while almost everyone else had fun on the rides. My excuse was that I don't like rides because they make me dizzy and nauseous. I've also told everyone that I just don't really like drinking. So these people have no idea that I'm really a lush who loves roller coasters and sushi but can't do anything fun because she is just disabled.

Post-delivery, I have already told PJO that I want Mexican food with margaritas. Soon thereafter, I may have to take a little trip for some roller coaster rides.

I had sushi delivered to the hospital within 12 hours after having Landon (it would have been earlier except that he was born at 6:04 AM). It was delicious. If there had been a good Mexican place around I would have tried to figure out a way to get a margarita in the room :)
