You know what's awkward?

Watching the marriage of law school friends unravel on Facebook. It's just not pleasant to see "John Doe is in a relationship and it's complicated" when he and his (ex)wife were a constant couple presence in my social life throughout law school. And if I can't easily pick one side to offer support to, do I just stay out of it or do I double dip? Yikes.

Facebook has opened everyone's personal life to everyone else's on the internet. I find out a lot more about people I'm acquaintences with than I ever wanted to know. I would probably just stay out of it.

Stay out of it until either of them come to you for a shoulder to cry on. And then land your shoulder, but still stay out of it. No good can come of getting involved in other people's relationship troubles.
